Maxine Harrison to teach watercolor class in November

Watercolor artist Maxine Harrison will be teaching another of her great watercolor classes November 19 and 21 at 9:00 a.m. until noon in the Creative Arts Center. This will be Maxine’s seventh set of lessons at Robson. All levels are welcome. Continue to learn or give watercolor painting a try! The ability to draw isn’t necessary as Maxine will furnish you with the patterns to trace. This class will let you have the experience of painting with watercolor without worry about being able to draw! The class is limited to eight so you will receive individual help. The cost will be $65 and includes the watercolor paper, enough to paint two 11 x 15 pictures or many smaller pictures. The supplies needed include Winsor-Newton artist grade (not student grade) Ultramarine Blue; New Gamboge; Winsor Red. You can make almost any color with these three colors; however, a Burnt Sienna is very useful for graying colors. You will need a No. 8 round brush; a 1/2” to 1” flat (wash) brush and a liner brush. Make sure you buy watercolor brushes, NOT oil brushes. There is a sign-up sheet at the Sports Center along with an envelope for checks, and you can call Terry Price 360-961-4277 or email [email protected] for any questions. Come learn and have lots of fun!
