The Robson Ranch Material Girls may be scattered far and wide across both the U.S. and Canada, but all of our members are hard at work supporting our charity work. Many of our members are working on quilt tops over the summer months to support all of our charity work.

Last year as well as this coming year we are supporting the Family Advocacy Center for Children and providing the Eloy Police Department with two quilts for each police car for when they must remove a child from a home. These local community organizations have been so gracious in accepting our support, and our members love working on items for children!

The Material Girls have also supported the Eloy Senior Center for four years by annually providing a quilt or pillowcase to all of the residents. This year we delivered nine quilts and 27 pillowcases to the residents. We also make comfort quilts for our own residents who have a serious illness or who have lost a spouse. Please contact either Marge Doughty at 360-739-9990 or Bea Pressler at 520-858-5379 if you know a Robson Resident who might need one.

The Material Girls welcome all residents who have a love for sewing and/or quilting to join our club. Dues are $20 per year, and you can visit two times before dues are collected. Monies from our dues, profits from our raffle quilt ticket sales and the craft fairs support the purchase of fabrics and supplies we need to fulfill our ongoing commitments to our charities.

During the summer months there is a core group of members still sewing on Monday and Friday mornings. If you would like more information about the club or a tour of our studio, contact Ann Arthur at [email protected].

We would like to thank Mr. Robson for all the support that he has shown over the past six years by providing the facilities as well as the equipment to make our charity work possible.
