The Robson Ranch Material Girls (and Guy) Block of the Month committee members Becky Duggins, Kristen Duggins, Robin Lauser, and Kay Wynsma hosted a back-to-school themed “Sewcial” at the Creative Arts Center Quilt Studio in September, featuring an elevated school lunch potluck.

The event brought together a vibrant mix of seasoned quilters and newcomers, each eager to contribute items to support students’ education and success. Members generously donated school supplies for Toltec Elementary, filling tables with essential items such as pencils, pens, markers, crayons, paper, notebooks, gluesticks, Kleenex, and wipes.

As the afternoon unfolded, the studio buzzed with cheerful conversation and the soft hum of sewing machines, reflecting a shared commitment to giving back. Members discussed their own school experiences and exchanged project ideas, strengthening bonds while making a tangible difference for their community. The joy of working together extended beyond the sewing tables, inspiring everyone present to continue supporting our local schools all year long.

Laughter, camaraderie, and teamwork marked the event, helping local students start their year prepared and confident.
