Birthday cards

We celebrate each other! Yes, we make cards for charitable projects, and yes, we make cards for our family and friends, but we also recently began a campaign to make birthday cards for each member of our Paper Crafting Club. The response, as you no doubt realize, has been hugely positive.

Being inundated with works of art created by the members of your group brightens the day and makes our birthdays a truly joyous occasion. Leaving the cards on display for as long as we wish, each time we gaze at them the enthusiasm grows. We love to make each other smile and feel special. Here are a few comments emailed to the club list from recipients:

Doreen Beers: Every day when I went to the mailbox or opened the front door, there was an amazing treasure awaiting. Every card was different, reflecting the specific style of the creator. Such talent in our group, and what a generous way for each of us to enjoy it!

Pam Costner: Thank you talented ladies for the birthday cards! It is so neat to see so many different designs, colors, and folds. You inspire me!

Linda Gayer: Thanks for my cards as well! The talent is amazing and makes me want to finish my four kits—kinda! One day I’ll start card making. I’ve got lots of scrapbooking to get to! (Linda is one of our members who is strictly a scrapbooker. We have those who scrapbook only and those who only do cards. Several do both.)

Chris Haisting: What an amazing group of talented stampers we have in our group! Thank you for all your beautiful cards and wishes! Totally appreciated and enjoyed!

Betsy Smith: Thank you to so many of you for the very special birthday cards I received yesterday. I really appreciate your friendliness and generosity! What a wonderful group of women you are!

Jaine Toth: The beautiful array of unique cards made by my paper crafting buddies continues to bring smiles each time I look at them. My husband is so impressed, as are visitors to our home. What a gift it is to share our talents with each other. We don’t just create cards, we create joy. These will stay up for a long time. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Some even take the time to decorate the envelopes, making the gift even more special.

Wouldn’t you like to belong of such a friendly, helpful, and generous group where you can explore your creativity and benefit yourself, your family, your friends, and the greater community? The Robson Paper Crafting Club meets at the Creative Arts Center Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m. We’d love to give you a warm and enthusiastic welcome.
