Two days of warm, sunny Arizona weather, the Men’s Club organized a new event called the Gunslinger Nines. Forty-one, two-man teams competed in three separate flights. The 82 men consisted of new members pairing with existing members, and old friends playing with their buddies.
The day one format was a two-man scramble on the Buttes course and one best net ball on the Picacho course. The men met back at the Ranch Grill for grub consisting of pizza and beverages provided by the RRMGA.
After bunking down for the night, the gunslingers prepared for a tougher fight on day two. Day two format was alternate shot on the Buttes and both net scores counted on the Picacho.
A big thank you to our scorekeepers: Pro Jay Wilson, George Fondurulia, Dave Douglas and Jim Baxter.
