The 2nd annual Robson Ranch Cribbage Tournament was held on Feb. 4 at the Ranch House. Cribbage is one of the best two-hand games and one of the most enduring, for the game was entertaining card players as far back as the 17th century. Cribbage affords players both the anticipation of the luck of the deal as well as ample opportunity to exercise their skills in discarding and play.
We had 18 players looking to unseat Pat Treit, who was last year’s winner. Nine games were played, and if you won all nine you would have a total of 1089 points. These were the top five players and their scores:
* First Place: Keith Hyatt at 1075
* Second Place: Mike Debbout at 1072
* Third Place: Vic Bourassa at 1063
* Fourth Place: Dennis Allen at 1037
* Fifth Place: Kathy Paradis at 1036
Congratulations to the winners and to all who came out to play.
The cribbage group meets every Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Pima/Toltec rooms in the sports activity center. All levels of play are invited to join us. For additional information or questions, you can contact Mike Consentino at [email protected]
