COVID-19 and the Choir

Robson Ranch Singers 2019

Robson Ranch Singers 2019

President Steve Gove and Choir Director Lisa Hunt

The year 2020, the year of COVID–19, has had a very profound effect on the Robson Ranch Singers. Many of our members are not residents at Robson Ranch, coming from many different states and from provinces in Canada. Many of these members have decided to stay where they have winter residents instead of traveling to Arizona. With the closing down of facilities and the limiting of people gathering in one location, the Singers have had to cancel the fall 2020 scheduled practices and concerts. While social distancing is required, it is very difficult to find a safe place to practice and a concert venue at the end of the season. The overall safety of our members and our family and friends who attend our concerts is a grave concern to the Board of Directors and our Director Lisa Hunt.

With this in mind, it is our hope that after the first of the year we will be able to gather in some fashion to put together music that we can share with the Robson community in the spring 2021. Until we get the clearance to practice, we ask that you keep us in mind — we have not gone away, we are just taking a fermata until further notice!
