Santa’s sleigh and the jolly fellow playing pickleball have been sighted by watercolor artists and captured in paintings that will be reproduced as Christmas/holiday cards sold to benefit charity.
Every year Robson residents participate in fundraising projects for worthy causes. This year the Fine Arts section has selected two different causes to support. The colored pencil artists will be donating funds from their raffle project, a Picacho Peak roadrunner drawing, to the Eloy Toltec School Art Department.
The Acrylic and Watercolor artists are supporting Angela’s Closet, a program that supplies school clothes, shoes, and other necessities to homeless and families in need in Eloy.
The Acrylic artists will be raffling a painted genuine cow skull and selling original matted paintings of skulls for Western-themed decors at the Fall Arts & Craft Fair on Nov. 15.
Each week during September, under the guidance of Don H., the guard shack, the fountains, pickleball courts, clubhouse, and more have been the subjects of holiday-themed watercolor paintings.
This is an opportunity to share what we love about Robson Ranch with our friends and relatives. Cards will be available for sale at the Saturday, Nov. 15 Annual Art Show. Six cards of different scenes will be sold for $10. However, anyone wishing to preorder cards may do so by filling out an order form available in the lobby of the Creative Arts building between the Pottery and Fine Arts rooms. By preordering, you can choose one particular scene, for example—Pickleball Santa, or an assortment of cards.
Don’t forget to remind your friends that this is an exciting time of the year to find gifts and treasures at the Art Crawl Studio tour (Nov. 8) and Fall Arts & Crafts Fair (Nov. 15).
