Martha Spillane
Many thanks to those of you who came out to meet authors Susanne Perry in March and Jaine Toth in the Chapter & Verse session in April! These events provide an opportunity for members of the Robson Ranch community to meet the authors (also residents of the Ranch), hear presentations from their works, and to ask questions.
Author Martha Spillane will be the presenter for the May installment of the Chapter & Verse series sponsored by the Robson Ranch Library and Write On…, the Robson Ranch writer’s workshop. Martha grew up in a small town in Long Island, N.Y. Her writing began at an early age—sometime between third and fourth grade where her teachers enjoyed her stories and essays. Martha particularly enjoys writing her memoirs and short stories about her childhood, family, and travels. Her humorous stories and reflections on the adventures in her life encourage smiles and at times outright laughter from her listeners.
Join us in the Fireside Room on Friday, May 29. Doors open at 10 a.m. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by an invitation for discussion. Comments and questions are welcome. We’ll wrap up around noon.
Following the May 29 session, we will be taking a break for the summer. The series will resume on Friday, Sept. 25 with a presentation by author Mary Beth Fisher and conclude for 2026 on Oct. 30 with Larry Ginn. In addition, Write On… meets every Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room for support and encouragement from fellow authors and would-be authors. Come join us!
