Back by popular demand, Barre and Broadway, this fun, easy and innovative class is a great way for everyone to move to music and get your exercise, too.
No experience is necessary. We will warm up with a modified ballet bare then move to the center to learn a jazz routine from a Broadway show. The steps are simple, but the benefits are many. Dance helps keep bones strong, deters dementia, helps with Parkinson’s and also helps relieve arthritis pain and promotes flexibility and balance, which diminishes with age.
Classes are ongoing starting Tuesday, November 1, 11:30 in the Aerobics Room. The first class is always free. A card of four is $15 and may be used anytime, or $4 per class.
Last year we learned dances from Chicago and Chorus Line among others. I have some new ones up my sleeve. Bring a friend and come and join us. See you at the barre!
