AZ Gubernatorial Candidate Visits the RR Republican Club

Conrad Tolson

Arizona Congressional District 1 Representative and 2026 candidate for Governor, David Schweikert, was the Robson Ranch (RR) Republican Club guest in January.

He and his wife are 63 years old. He was adopted when he was a child, and they have two young, adopted children, one of whom is 3 years old.

He is currently serving in Washington, D.C., on the House Ways and Means Committee, and he is leading investigations into Medicare and Hospice Care fraud. He is concerned about out-of-control government spending. He said the U.S. is borrowing about $74,000 every minute. Last year, for every $1 in revenue, the U.S. spent $1.43. He has been quoted saying that because of out-of-control spending, Washington is unsavable; however, he believes that Arizona is still savable, but to do so, we need effective governance, and he thinks he can bring effective governance to Arizona and bring a better economic future here. He believes that his experience in Congress equips him to address the challenges facing the state.

The RR Republican Club meets monthly, usually the last Thursday of the month at 2:30 p.m. in the Cheyenne/Laredo Room. If you would like to visit our club to learn more about what’s going on in our community and state, contact the Republican Club at RRAZRC@gmail.com or watch the Mid-Week Scoop for meeting times and locations.
