The first annual member/guest tournament was held March 18 and 19, 2015 at Robson Ranch Arizona. The tournament was a great success with 40 two-man teams participating. The tournament was divided into two flights according to handicap. The first day was a two-man scramble with 20% of combined handicap. The winners of the day were Flight 1, first place Larry Sundin/Lee Cooper; second place Terry Hopton/Kirk Nelson; third place Bill Rod/Dave Mahoney; Flight 2, first place Terry Kumbera/Mike Press; second place Frank Sanchez/Mike Romero; third place Jim Ilten/Pat Dallabetta.
The second day was a two-man best ball with full handicap. The second day winners with a combined two-day score were Flight 1, first place Rodger Johnson/Randall Benton; second place Terry Hopton/Kirk Nelson; third place Duwayne Lamere/Lee Saenger; Flight 2, first place Terry Kumbera/Mike Press; second place Tom Harris/John Kiehl; third place Frank Sanchez/Mike Romero.
Various prizes were awarded for longest drive, closest to line, closest to pin on both days. The RR Men’s Golf Club would like to thank our golf pro Jay Wilson, superintendent Randy Cordeman, banquet manager Heather Hardesty, HOA manager Betty Murphy, director of golf Mark Giannonatti and the RR Women’s golf club for all their hard work to make this a very successful tournament.
