For the Love of Stained Glass

Julie White

People love stained glass because it creates a dynamic and transformative experience through the interplay of light and color. Unlike traditional, static artworks, stained glass interacts with sunlight throughout the day, casting vibrant patterns and colors that continuously animate the surrounding space. This delicate interplay of light and color breathes life into the glass, creating a living artwork that invites reflection and wonder.

The Robson Ranch Stained Glass Club warmly welcomes all who share this passion. We hope you had a chance to visit our studio during the CAC Open House on Jan. 17. Looking ahead, we will have a booth at the Desert Fest on Feb. 21, where you can meet our members, ask questions, and sign up for new member classes. Our beginner courses in 2025 brought 16 new artists into our club, and we are excited to welcome them alongside returning members in 2026.

Recently, our newly appointed board convened to plan for the year ahead. Key decisions include replacing our copier and miter saw and acquiring additional grinders—tools that are essential for refining our craft. We are also introducing pop-up mini classes focusing on soldering techniques, leading, wiring, and advanced cutting. These short, 30-minute sessions will offer focused instruction during regular studio hours, enriching our members’ skills.

Our club fosters a vibrant mix of new and experienced artisans, and we look forward to growing our membership and expanding class offerings led by seasoned members.
