Stained Glass Club News

Julie White

Welcome back snowbirds! The studio is getting busier as our snowbird friends start arriving at the Ranch. It’s always fun to see them again.

Last month we had our general membership meeting where we were reminded that the election of officers for 2026 is coming up. All positions—president, vice president, secretary, and treasurerare open. We really need people to step up and run for office in order to keep our club open. None of the positions takes up a lot of time nor is difficult, so please consider putting your name in the hat. Let Sandi Martin at smteaches3@aol.com know what position you are interested in.

We had six residents in our latest Orientation class and they had fun completing a cute bird suncatcher. They were able to select their own glass so each student’s project was unique. If you would like to attend the next Orientation class where you will learn the basics of stained glass, contact Sandi Martin at smteaches3@aol.com.

We recently enjoyed the Leaded Pumpkin class offered by Beth Sulek-LaHousse on Oct. 21 and 23.

Coming up are two classes for our existing members:

3D Cactus/Pumpkin on Nov. 8 and 16. Offered by Julie White. Max class size is 6. This class is currently full.

Mosaic Coaster on Dec. 9 and 11. Offered by Di Wilson and Beth Sulek-LaHousse. Max class size is 10.

Don’t forget to attend the Fall Art and Craft Fair on Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. where you will have the opportunity to see and purchase stained glass art from some of the Robson Ranch artists.

On Dec. 13 the club has a holiday get-together planned at the Studio from 1 to 4 p.m. for current members. More details will be provided to members soon. If you join this month, you can enjoy the fun and meet other club members.

Happy Thanksgiving!
