On May 2, more than 100 Robson Ranch residents and guests gathered in the Hermosa Ballroom for an evening of feasting, festivities, and fun. There was dancing to a “jukebox” of hits from our younger years; songs selected by the attendees. There was a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. All proceeds (less the cost of the event paid to the HOA) from tickets, donations, silent auction, jukebox choices, and the 50/50 raffle were donated to St. Vincent De Paul (SVDP) in Casa Grande. The total amount donated was $5,180.32.
Doors and the bar opened at 4:30 p.m. for a happy hour before dinner, and dancing began at 5:30. There was even a Prom King and Queen, Steve Gove and Judi Mutal, who attended their own senior prom back in 1964!
Special thanks to the organizing committee who worked diligently to plan the event; gathered, packaged and priced items and donations for the silent auction; set up and cleaned up at the event itself; and staffed the event on the evening of the prom to ensure things ran smoothly. The committee members were: Peggy Morris, Peggy Lee, Jane Plasse, Lisa Hunt, Ron Hunt, and Karen Dielmann.
