Why did you move to Robson Ranch? Because it offered access to Phoenix and Tucson or was it because of the more reasonable housing prices? Maybe it was the golf course, pickleball, tennis, or one of the many available clubs. When my wife and I moved here, the emphasis was on “Active Adult Community.” So after you settled in, how active are you? Now that you’re retired or close to it, are any of your activities bothering your body? Is golf affecting your back or hips? Is pickleball or tennis giving you a soft landing if you fall? Is bike riding or Ebike working all those muscles? Dog walking is tough on your knees and core when you bend over to pick up. How about bingo, cards, or mah jongg—are those games rough on your gluteus maximus? Everything you do on your own has its issues as we progress in age. Now a recommended fitness class is intended to help you strengthen those areas.

Our Director of Fitness, Lois Moncel, has a wonderful staff of instructors just waiting for you to get active. One class per week is all it takes to start. One hour per week.

If you are scared or afraid of embarrassment, don’t be! No one in these classes is perfect. We are all there to help you get set up, and the instructors are there to help you move properly.

So think about making time for yourself. Isn’t your health worth that time? And your doctors will tell you to keep it up.
