Fall for Fitness!

Lois Moncel, Director of Fitness & Wellness

Happy fitness to you from the Sports Club and NEW Elevate Movement Studios! As the summer heat comes to an end, we are gearing up for a fun, exciting season at Robson Ranch. We know that in order to enjoy retirement you have to be healthy and stay active, and we aim to help you do just that. At Robson we continue to introduce new fitness trends including digital fitness, gamification, the latest group fitness programming, and even the annual Try-a-Tri!

Exercise has a plethora of benefits such as the opportunity for social activity, improved strength and mobility, and strengthened mental function. At Robson Ranch you will find several ways to fulfill your exercise goals. Our wellness program is strategically designed for active 55+ adults. Between the pool and the new facility, Elevate Movement Studios, we offer more than 45 classes per week including classes like Yoga, Tai Chi, Dance Fitness, Aqua Fitness, and Weight Training classes. Our fitness instructors are Nationally Accredited Certified Instructors. Being certified often includes passing a written exam, practical training, and a supervised class demonstration. They have the education and skills to address the unique needs of their class, whether it is for the general population or for individuals who may have limitations.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be a lot of work, but at the same time it can be self-fulfilling in many ways, like Improved sense of self. Exercise can help you understand who you are and what you’re capable of. You can enhance or amplify your current fitness program by getting involved in something new! Each month check back to this fitness column and find out what is coming up so you can take part in all the fun! Be on the lookout for events like: Water, Wine & Wellness, Happy Hour Yoga, Swimmerlympics, the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, and the 12 Days of Fitness!

I invite you to join us at the Sports Club and Elevate Movement Studios.

I challenge you to improve your life by trying something new in your journey to better health and fitness.

I encourage you to celebrate all of your achievements, even if it means adding one more step to your daily walk.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!
