Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, Oct. 30, 10 to 11:30 a.m., in the Laredo Room of the Robson Ranch House for the next 100+ People Who Care Event. 100+ People Who Care is an alliance of people who assist hand-selected charities in Pinal County. The organization raises money that funds only local, nonprofit organizations. One hundred percent of the funds go to these people in need. Nothing is spent on salaries or administrative overhead.
Ordinarily, each member of 100+ People Who Care donates $100 twice a year, or they partner with another person and donate $50 each for a total of $100. The goal is to generate 100+ donations of $100+ for each event. Thus, the $10,000+ is raised for local charities twice a year for $20,000+ annually.
There is a thoughtful nomination and selection process to identify the most worthwhile charities. Individuals and organizations can make a greater impact by sponsoring at higher levels and will be recognized for gold ($1,000), silver ($500), and bronze ($250) levels of giving.
The group is also looking to increase their membership. There is no membership fee and you only have two scheduled events per year. In addition, if you want to help plan and coordinate the events, the 100+ Committee is always looking for people to help with volunteer opportunities if you want to serve on the board.
