Ronald Gibbs
On the night of April 14, hundreds of Robson Ranch residents flooded the softball parking lot area for an evening of music and dancing. It was the farewell performance of the country/rock duo Sierra Sound until their return in the fall. Underneath a beautiful star-filled sky, and adorned with glow necklaces, everyone enjoyed listening to their favorite hits by artists such as Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Donna Summer, Fleetwood Mac, Patsy Cline, and The Doobie Brothers, just to name a few.
The concert was a free event put on by Robson Ranch residents Kim Gibbs, on vocals, and Ken Muhlbeier, on guitar. Performing together for the past eight years, the duo produces their own backing tracks in their recording studio. The tracks are comprised of backup vocals and harmonies by Kim and instrumentation by Ken. Kim grew up singing in church and school choirs and was a member of the Robson Ranch Singers for 10 years. Ken is a self-taught guitar player guided by his mom from a young age. He plays both electric and acoustic guitar as well as the banjo.
They look forward to performing for you next season in the Robson Ranch Tack Room/Grill, and at many other local venues in the surrounding area. Be sure to follow them on Facebook at Sierrasoundeloyaz and watch for schedule postings on the Nextdoor neighbor website. They are also available for private parties and events! Email Kim at [email protected] for bookings.
