Wear your green! You would think since it is almost St. Patrick’s Day the Dance Club might offer a lesson on how to do an Irish step dance, an Irish real, or an Irish jig. As of this date, we have not come up with a leprechaun who can teach Irish dance steps. But better, Christa Quackenbush will give a short lesson on Nightclub Slow Dancing before the dance on March 8. So, if you are a Dance Club member and would like to take part in the complimentary lesson, arrive at 6 p.m., pay your admission for the dance, and join the group in the Hermosa Ballroom who are taking the class. This lesson will be offered to Dance Club members before the Robson Musicians start to play at 6:30 p.m. Cash bar will be open at 6 p.m. Social time is still from 6 to 6:30 p.m. if you choose not to take part in the lesson.
The entrance fee is $5 for Robson Ranch Dance Club members, $10 for nonmembers.
Then, the next and last dance until fall is April 5. Not a member? If you have not joined or renewed your membership, memberships are available at the door. Membership is $20 and goes until Dec. 31, 2023.
The Dance Club’s mission is to provide dancing opportunities to Robson Ranch residents. We rely on support from our members to cover the cost of the ballroom, the bands, and DJs. In addition to reduced admission to the dances we offer members, there are opportunities for predance dinners with other Dance Club members, free practice sessions at the sports club, and mini lessons before some dances. Every person who joins as a member is helping to build a thriving dance community here at Robson Ranch.
