The Needle Crafters are in need of more knitters and crochet-ers to help make doll blankets 20”x20”, travel slippers, hair scrunches, headbands and ear warmers for “Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes” in October. For the “Morning of Generosity” in December, we need hats, gloves, scarves, stuffed animals, baby blankets, bibs, bonnets, slippers and crochet or knitted games. For our veterans, lap robes.
Want to help but you don’t know how to knit or crochet? No problem; we provide free lessons. Just bring your desire to learn something new with you and join us on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Creative Arts Center.
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” -Mother Teresa
The Needle Crafters definitely put a lot of love into everything we make.
“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” -John Holmes
For me there is no greater gift than to see the joy a simple hat or scarf can bring to someone who is cold and in need of warmth.
Have a Happy Valentine’s!
