Arizona Home Furnishings Outlet in Casa Grande will debut in 2017

Marshall Stahl

Arizona’s newest destination retail development has begun development as the Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets center is emerging in Casa Grande at Exit 198, fronting over one-half mile of Interstate 10.

The 185,000-square foot project, which will dramatically reinvent the former Tanger Outlets Center, will feature the largest off-price collection of home furnishings, furniture and décor in the American Southwest with a one-stop shopping environment for the Phoenix and Tucson markets. Work has already begun on the 40-store complex, and a grand opening has been scheduled for the spring of 2017.

Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets has a strategic location in the heart of the Sun Corridor, just 40 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and 55 minutes from Tucson, easily accessible from I-10 and I-8.

The project is a development of AZ Sourcing, a Phoenix-area developer and investor, who is also developing the nearby PhoenixMart in Casa Grande. Upon opening in 2017 Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets is expected to create over 100 full-time equivalent jobs and generate significant tax revenue and economic benefit for Casa Grande and the Pinal County, Arizona region.

“We are excited and proud to begin work in earnest on the Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets and bring our vision to life with a first-class retail experience for the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan markets in Casa Grande,” explained Marshall Stahl of Scottsdale who is the President of Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets and a long-time industry executive who led leasing and merchandising efforts for the highly-successful Miromar Design Center in southwest Florida. “This unique merchandise program will meet the demands and activity we see in new housing expansion throughout the region and population growth in the Sun Corridor while we execute on our promise to revitalize this dormant facility.”

“Casa Grande is pleased to welcome the Arizona Home Furnishing Outlets to our city and expand the mosaic of shopping and consumer attractions in our city,” added Casa Grande’s Mayor Bob Jackson. “The development team has demonstrated a can-do path and real progress on this project, and we are thrilled to support their efforts.”
