The Ranch House Throwdown is a culinary competition that will be held in the Hermosa Ballroom on Monday, February 22. Come and enjoy a competition between culinary leaders as they battle for your vote! In addition, our bartenders/mixologists will also be competing for your vote on a creative, scratch-made cocktail of their choosing. You will eat and drink and vote for your favorites. Three chefs will compete in the culinary competition: Andrew Dickey, Sous Chef (bacon studded waffles with a chipotle compounded butter and fried chicken); David Chavarria, Evening Cook (slow roasted pork belly with mashed potato and gravy); Mary Hanes, Lead Cook (braised beef cheeks with parsnip puree and butter pan fried asparagus). Three bartenders will compete in the cocktail competition: Margaret O’Connor, Bar Manager (Tequila, Bonita Senorita); Brad Leaver, Banquet Bartender (Vodka, Panama Jack); Gina Ventura, Restaurant Bartender (Rum, Dirty Horchata). Executive Chef Austin will provide Bananas Foster, Time Bandits will provide music for your listening and dancing pleasure, and you will receive a souvenir Throwdown logo cocktail glass. The doors/bar open 4:15 p.m., food and cocktails at 5:00 p.m. The tickets are $60 pp/$70 non-homeowner and can be purchased at the reception desk in the Ranch House. Ticket sales end February 15.
