Summertime fun with stained glass

The Robson Ranch Stained Glass Club would like to invite residents to enjoy some air conditioned fun this summer! We have been offering beginner classes all year. So far, students have made butterflies, tropical fish, leprechaun hats and Easter egg suncatchers in our beginner classes. May’s class was a tulip pot stake. Our plan is to continue classes through the hot summer months. Once you finish a beginner class, you will have the skills to make all sorts of fabulous items, as well as participate in any members only classes, such as a jewelry box, metal garden art stake, mosaic or other beautiful works of stained-glass art.

Here is a list of what is being offered in the summer beginner classes: June – red, white and blue bevel suncatcher; July – kite suncatcher; August – leaf suncatcher; September – ladybug pot stake.

The club also strives to involve new members to build upon skills they learned in the beginner classes. Throughout the summer and year-round, new members are encouraged to participate in dedicated project days where new members work along side experienced members making items for club sales events. There are always experienced members available in the studio who are happy to share their love of stained glass techniques with new members.

Come join in the fun this summer and stay cool when the temperature starts to rise.

Studio hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2:00 p.m. when a monitor is available.
