Why do grown men (and women) play with toy cars?

Butch Spiller

Come by the Robson Ranch RC Park on Tuesday and Thursday morning and find out that:

The RC Cars are very similar to real cars. They have motors driven by rechargeable batteries. They have transmissions, differentials, adjustable suspension and many other components of your family car. They can go up to speeds of 70 miles per hour.

The competition is intense. Cars are clocked electronically to 1/100th of a second. Drivers need to be skilled enough to stay on the track and avoid other cars. Awards are presented to drivers with the best driving records.

The drivers are friendly and fun to be around. The drivers are skilled and capable of repairing damage to cars incurred during the races. They also have the tools and spare parts to make their cars run like new.

If this sounds like fun, you may be interested in playing with toy cars, too.
