What to do if you see a snake

Melani Caron, CAAM, CMCA, General Manager

With the unseasonably warm temperatures this time of year, we are seeing many who are ready to soak up some sun. With that, we also need to be aware of snakes who also enjoy sunbathing. With Robson Ranch being surrounded by the Arizona natural desert, there may be an occasional time when any one of us may come across a snake.

So, what do you do if you see a snake?

In speaking directly to the Eloy Fire Department, they are asking Robson Ranch homeowners to please call 911 first if you feel you are in imminent danger. If you are in a safe location, such as inside your home or car, you can opt to call the Eloy police non-emergency phone number. That number is 520-466-7324. At the time of your phone call, the 911 dispatcher or police operator will initially check to see if animal control is available to respond. If they are not available, they will then dispatch the fire department. To expedite your need for assistance for snake related matters, please do not call the Robson Ranch Patrol or the Fire Department directly. When in doubt, always call 911. Your safety is important to all of us.

Thank you for your attention!
