Back care basics: For those suffering from back pain. A gentle and careful approach to stretching carefully designed to alleviate pain and promote health in the low back, sacrum and hips. This class does utilize the floor, a chair, a mat and a yoga block. Please bring your own block. Thursday’s, 9:30 – 10:30. Class taught by Janet Rock. Fee is one punch from our punch card or $4 drop in fee. Punch cards are sold at the front desk of the Sports Club either for $30 for 10 classes or $55 for 20 classes. First class is always free.

Yin Yoga: Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the connective tissues and deep muscular release. It also helps us to regulate the body’s flow of energy. Class meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Class taught by Janet Rock. Fee is one punch from our punch card or $4 drop in fee. Punch cards are sold at the front desk of the Sports Club either for $30 for 10 classes or $55 for 20 classes. First class is always free.

Classic Level 1-2: An intermediate level class that continues further work with postures, physical alignment, form, and breath and builds on the foundation of proper alignment, while building strength, stamina and flexibility. Classes generally have a flow of rhythm to encourage the evolution of one’s practice as moving meditation. Class meets on Mondays at 9:30 am. Class taught by Janet Rock. Fee is one punch from our punch card or $4 drop in fee. Punch cards are sold at the front desk of the Sports Club either for $30 for 10 classes or $55 for 20 classes. First class is always free.

Chair Yoga: Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support for those who have difficulty balancing and getting up and down off the floor. Class meets on Tuesdays at 11:00 and Fridays at 11:30 am beginning. Class taught by Janet Rock and Lois Moncel. Fee is one punch from our punch card or $4 drop in fee.
