Save the date: The Walk to End Alzheimers is November 21

Terry Price

June was Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. Everyone who has a brain is at risk to develop Alzheimer’s of fatal disease that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. People around the world were asked to take the Purple Pledge and use their brains to fight Alzheimer’s disease. If you weren’t aware, purple is the signature color. Have you participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s held here at the Ranch? The 5th annual walk will be held November 21. Please form a team or join a team; it is a fun event that does so much good! The walk begins in front of the baseball bleachers at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21. Be there by 8:30 a.m. to sign in, receive your ticket for the prize drawing following the walk, pick up your flower spinner, T-shirt if you have collected $100 or more, water and a snack. The flower spinners will be put in a grass area to spin away while you walk and you take it home with you to spin in your yard! Last year we collected over $6,000. Let’s see how much we can increase the $$$$ November 21. The walk is three miles—Robson Boulevard, Harris Hawk, Anastasi and back to the baseball field walking through the town homes.
