Robson Ranch RC Flyers starts aviation program at local school

The Robson Ranch RC Flyers club has started an aviation program at Eloy Junior High School. The program is designed to introduce students to the many career paths in aviation. Topics will include: principles of flight, aircraft systems, weather principles and opportunities in the aviation industry.

The students will also be taught how to safely operate and fly small remote-controlled aircraft.

Thirty-Two students will attend a weekly session for six weeks with the first session beginning in April.

The members of the RR RC Flyers club will use their own aircraft and equipment for these sessions, but plans are in the works to fundraise in order to provide the school with its own equipment for the long term.

Sessions are planned throughout the 2016-2017 school year. Our goal is to reach out to over 200 students.
