Robson Ranch has a new book club, the Happy Bookers! In October the idea of a seasonal book club was posted on Next Door Neighbor, and what a great response we had. A few of us had a planning meeting in late October and chose The Baker’s Daughter as our first book.

Our first meeting was January 26 at Chris Poppen’s home, and 10 of our 12 members were able to attend. Nancy Friedman led a lively discussion, which included sharing family recipes, thoughts about WWII, immigration and the wonderful story Sarah McCoy told.

Our next meeting was February 22 and we discussed The Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor, all 489 pages!

It would be great if there was a way for all the book clubs to share their reading lists and reviews.
