Lady Lynx golf begins in October

The Lady Lynx, a 9-hole women’s golf group at Robson Ranch, will resume play October 22. The first three weeks will be cart path only as the course completes its annual rehab.

This group is open to all ladies who enjoy playing golf, whether new to the game or experienced, and enjoy playing 9 holes. A format of Ready Golf is encouraged so players are ready to play and keep the pace of play to facilitate the scheduled groups. Handicaps are not necessary but are encouraged if ladies choose to carry one. The handicaps are necessary when there are 9 hole play challenges with other Robson communities. There are a number of sites either free or with a minimal charge for the individual to maintain a handicap.

The fall organizational meeting will be on Thursday, October 29, at Mona Rod’s house at 11:30 a.m.; address and directions will be given October 22. Gloria Lamere and Mona will host a “Walking Taco” lunch prior to our scheduled tee time. During regular season play the Lady Lynx often meet for lunch at the Ranch House Grill prior to play.

The president is Marj Stewart and VP is Karen Furu for 2015-16. Marilyn Marty and Mary Beth Fisher will continue as coordinators of weekly play. Lady Lynx players will sign up for the new year and will be issued a players card at the October 29 meeting; this card will insure these ladies will be eligible for scrambles and holiday gatherings. The 2015-16 roster will be built off of this sign-up sheet. New members are welcome. For more information contact Mary Beth Fisher at [email protected].
