Ladies Social Club to host Chef’s Demo

Bring your appetite and a recipe card (those things we used to use before all recipes could be found online) and join us in the Hermosa Ballroom on April 13, 2016 as Banquet Chef Andrew Dickey walks us through the preparation of Chicken Cordon Bleu. The annual chef’s demo is always a fun learning experience. Questions are welcome. And the best part? We all get to eat Cordon Bleu when he is finished.

The price for lunch and program is $17 with tickets available through April 6 at the concierge desk at the Ranch House. The meeting starts at 11:15 a.m. with a short business meeting.

If you were not at the March meeting you missed participating in the newest craze to sweep the country—adult coloring books! These were not your grandkids’ coloring pages of Anna and Elsa but pages of intricate designs ready to bring out your inner artist. And it worked—many truly impressive pieces of art emerged! Mine, not so much! But everyone had a good time.

As a regular part of the Ladies Social Club meetings, raffle tickets may be purchased ($1 each or seven for $5) to support our annual charity choices. The two charities selected at the March meeting for the 2016 year are a pediatric clinic providing indigent care in the St. Vincent de Paul building in Casa Grande and the Valley Humane Society. The raffle contributions are split 80/20, with 80% to the charity and 20% to a lucky winner randomly chosen at the luncheon.

New attendees, please look for our Ambassador of the Year, Carole Crain. As a reminder to all, annual dues are $10 and are due for 2016 by the April meeting.
