Why pay a small fortune for a holiday card or sending a weighty gift when you can solve both problems by hand painting your own holiday card! Your friend or family will enjoy a unique card/gift of your own making. They may even frame it. Ten ladies participated in the Fine Arts Guild sponsored Holiday Card Painting afternoon on November 29. Five members guided the class with examples and suggestions in three mediums. Colored pencils, acrylic and watercolor paints were all available along with a variety of stamps, glitter, ribbons, paper cutouts and other objects for attachments to the cards and envelopes provided.
The Fine Arts Guild meets on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Our dues are $20 per calendar year. Membership dues and applications are being accepted this month for 2018.
