John and Jean DeChristopher will be organizing Friday Night Golf again this year. This fun event always has some twists and surprises in the 9-hole tournament held every other Friday through the summer. The kick-off was on June 12 where there were 24 teams that participated. The surprise to the tournament on the first night was that the players had to putt in a pickleball on hole No. 9. Two teams had five putts to get the ball into the hole; on the green in two, but had five putts! We won’t mention any names.

On June 26 there was another great turnout! The game included a “do over” for you and your opponent. On the ninth hole the players had to putt with a “custom” putter with a wavy wooden face. Not easy to keep your putt on line.

The tournament is flighted. Many prizes are given to encourage people to come out and have a good time. Your team can consist of a guy/gal, two guys or two gals.

Please sign up by 10:30 a.m. the day of Friday’s play. Please be at the pro shop by 4:30 p.m. to check in, and instructions for the game will follow. The shot-gun start is at 5:00 p.m. We all come back in for dinner at the Robson Ranch Grill and wait for the awards to be given. Thanks to all the teams who have participated!
