Those who followed the band in their heyday could have sworn it was déjà vu on January 20 when the Fleetwood Mac Tribute band, Mirage, performed for Robson Ranch residents in the Hermosa Ballroom.
The lead singer portraying Stevie Nicks captured the original artist’s onstage dance nuances and numerous quirky, colorful costume changes. Her voicing and interpretation of the songs made famous by Fleetwood Mac were admirably performed and supported by the rest of the band.
A few of the more familiar of the songs performed were Gypsy and Go Your Own Way. Landslide, a number that has been redone by the Smashing Pumpkins and Dixie Chicks, has become one of Fleetwood Mac’s most enduring melodies. It was beautifully performed by Mirage and stayed true to the original recording. The band finished off the evening with another signature song, Don’t Stop, which had the audience on their feet enthusiastically singing and clapping along.
Much thanks to Mirage Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band for a musically rich and satisfying walk down memory lane!
