Art classes for the winter season

The following classes will be available to all residents of Robson Ranch for a $10 fee per class; however, by joining the Fine Arts Guild for $20, one of the first three classes will be free with supplies included. Sign-up for classes can be done at the Sport Center or by contacting any officer of the Fine Arts Guild a minimum of five days prior to class. Various other classes may be offered also to members via DVD or YouTube videos as well as field trips to various art galleries/museums. Come check out the Fine Arts Guild on any Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Combining Acrylic Techniques in December

In this fun lesson of using Acrylics we will explore a few fun techniques to make an interesting background for an abstract or realistic painting; which one is up to you. Jillian Moon has provided us with a few examples of these fun techniques that she will teach on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. All supplies will be provided for $10.

Watercolor Fun in January

This lesson will be an adventure in the techniques of watercolor. Melanie Douglas and Paula Lambert will combine their knowledge to present us with a fun day using watercolors on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. All supplies will be provided for $10.

Pastel Panoramas in February

Try a new medium—pastels. We will discuss the use of pastels and how they differ from other water or oil based pigments. Abstract or realistic finished papers will be yours to take home. This medium will be explored on Wednesday, February 15, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. All supplies will be provided for $10.

Palette Knife Painting in March

No brushes allowed. (Wink wink). Using a small canvas board we will create together a simple painting using our palette knives. This class will be presented on Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. All supplies will be provided for $10.
