The Adopt-A-Street clean-up crew

Gaile McCuaig

The first cleanup of the Adopt-A-Street season took place on October 15 to coincide with the Clean Up Eloy Day organized by the city of Eloy. We had 20 dedicated volunteers clean up our area of Jimmie Kerr as well as a portion of Overfield Road adjacent to The Ranch.

Our volunteers collected 41 bags of trash as well as six pounds of aluminum cans. Marv Enerson takes the cans to the recycling center with proceeds going to the Desert Woodcrafters Club.

A big thank you goes out to the following Robson Ranch residents: Ted and Jill Lui, Taffy Vaughn, Pat Carlberg, Pat Picune, Robert Otto, Peg Brady, Bob and Diane Williams, Tom and Rebecca McKinney, Barbara Gayer, Barbara and Allen Crawford, Patty Bruchez, Barry Christensen, Jan Stocek, Bruce Thompson, John Gluch and Marv Enerson.

Our Robson Ranch Patrol member, Mo, assisted with transportation, water and supplies. Thanks so much.

The Adopt-A-Street program is headed by committee chair John Gluch who is a Robson Ranch resident and an active member of the Eloy Edge Group. I serve as the coordinator for scheduling and volunteers.

To become a member of this great group contact me, Gaile McCuaig, at [email protected] or simply sign up at the Sports Club when the next cleanup is scheduled in a few weeks. We are always looking for new members.
